Substrate Details - Pearlescent

Our newest paper features a subtle fibrous texture with a sophisticated mica pearlescent finish that catches light beautifully. With a panel width of 70cm and an unprinted weight of 167gsm, this high-quality paper is both durable and a pleasure to work with.

It has a non-woven backing and is applied using the paste-the-wall method for convenient hanging. The substrate is also spongeable, making maintenance easy, and has good light fastness to retain its visual appeal over time.

A World Above and Beyond

The Secret Garden

Like many of our ideas, this one had been germinating for some time. After visiting the magnificent glasshouse at Kew Gardens, we spent the journey home discussing how its grand structure, climbing foliage and sunlight-filled interiors might inspire a design. We didn’t know exactly what form it would take, but we knew we’d return to the idea.

A year later, everything clicked into place. We wanted to introduce a more luxurious substrate and co-ordinating designs. The result was a collection inspired by the classic English garden. Murals paired with matching ceiling designs, creating an even more immersive experience.

Printed on our new pearlescent substrate, Cordelia celebrates the fifth wall with towering panes of glass, entwining foliage and soft landscapes beyond. Meanwhile, Beatrice draws on shimmering ponds, dense greenery and reflected light, offering a subtle nod to Monet and the romance of the British countryside.

Two generations, two approaches, one collection.
